Many members may have recently received a Summary of Material Modifications (SMM) for the AT&T Southwest Pension Plan.

The SMM updates the Pension Plan’s Summary Plan Description (SPD) by adding the Pension Band Amounts for retirement dates from January 1, 2026, through January 1, 2029 and later.

Pension band amounts are used to calculate a member’s monthly pension benefit. The previous SPD only included amounts through January 1, 2025.

The updated Pension Band Amounts included in the SMM are not new. They were negotiated as part of the 2025 Southwest CWA Agreement and are now being incorporated into the official Pension Plan SPD.
