CWA Legislative and Political Conference

We just wrapped up the CWA Legislative and Political Conference, and our district showed up big. The message was clear: workers over billionaires.

The attached Worker Agenda lays out what we’re fighting for this year: the right to organize, better wages, strong public services, affordable health care, good union jobs, democracy, retirement security, and real power for working people. This isn’t just a conference document. It’s our roadmap for the year ahead.

The picture is one of the clearest examples presented when Texas Congressman Greg Casar announced his bill to double overtime pay directly to CWA members. He could have held a high-profile press conference, gone on national TV, or launched on a popular podcast. Instead, he brought it to our members first. That is exactly what we are campaigning for: elected leaders who do not just talk about workers, but stand with us, listen to us, and make our fights their fights.

Check out our Instagram post from the conference and help us spread the word.

Our leaders from across the district were in the halls of Congress meeting with lawmakers and pushing this pro-worker agenda face to face. Like it, share it, and show people that CWA members are ready to fight.

Then take one more step: fill out our volunteer form and plug in.

We need help with phone banks, coworker conversations, events, PAF, and local legislative and political teams. Whatever your schedule looks like, there is a way to be part of this work. Big fights are ahead, and we need everyone in.

When we fight, we win.

P.S.

In the spirit of winning, take a look at the Texas Primary Runoff Recap!

In solidarity,

District 6 Political Team
